The Commissioner Ministry for Special Duties, Barr. Monday Onyezonwu, has cautioned members of the public to properly manage tires and other inflammable materials to prevent and curb fire outbreak in the State.
Barr. Monday made the called recently while chatting with Reporters in his office following the fire incidence that occurred at the Timber sector of mile three market road.
The Commissioner stressed that members of the public have been cautioned severally to properly manage inflammable materials, adding ‘‘the Harmatan is raging and every material is practically combustible and can easily go up in flames’’.
He however decried the fact that some residents in the State are so careless in their use of fire, undermining its consequence of damage to lives and property,, adding that over ten fire incidences have been recorded in the State between January and February 2016, adding ‘‘in every fire incidence there is a loss’’.
Barr. Onyezonwu called on the media to help with more enlightenment and drive home the message of caution on fire outbreaks to the understanding of the general public.
